The harp is a lovely instrument to have at your wedding, creating a beautiful atmosphere whatever the occasion. Its gentle sounds carry across a room without intruding into conversation, and a harp can go where a piano cannot. The harp also blends well with other instruments, allowing any number of possible musical combinations. Clare regularly plays background music for public events and weddings.
The harp can be used throughout your event. These are some suggestions:
Wedding Ceremony or Civil Partnership:
30 mins as your guests arrive, then at three key points during the ceremony:
Bridal entrance
Signing of the Register
Newly married couple's exit, playing you and your guests out of the room
Drinks Reception / Photographs:
Up to one hour 30 mins as required
Wedding breakfast or evening dinner:
First set 60 mins, then 50 mins of every hour thereafter
Conferences:
Clare has also taken commissions based on the topic of the conference. Played at the end of the drinks reception, these have created a unique talking point.
As well as the pieces listed below, Clare has a wide repertoire of English, Irish and Scottish traditional repertoire. I also have a selection of medieval renaissance music to draw on.

"... you made my day..."
Comment from Christmas Day hotel guest after lunchtime playing
I just wanted to send you an email and let you know how amazing you are. The music at our wedding was absolutely perfect, we couldn't have asked for more!! Thank you again for making the trip to Bristol for us. My only regret is that I didn't have the chance to listen to more of your beautiful music. It was all happening so fast and before I knew what happened, it was all over. The whole thing was like a blur - but I will never forget coming into the room and hearing you play. It really made the wedding so perfect and I will always be so grateful to have found you.
Thanks so much.
- Jessie & Rhys, Bristol
Dear Clare,
We were so pleased you played at the wedding. My favourite part was Ave Maria when we were signing the register. We would recommend you to anyone looking for a harpist without any hesitation at all.
Many, many thanks it was a wonderful day
