Formed back in 2005, the band have now performed at over 1000 weddings, parties and corporate events across the UK and abroad. Hello Martyn. Firstly, a HUGE thank you for all your efforts to have contributed to Zeb and Olivia's wedding - your contribution with your team and the band were flawless and made the evening flow perfectly, in fact it seemed like it only lasted 10 minutes.
As for your 'relatively unknown band' - they were superb on every level - performance, variety and generally they gave out so very much as performers and we all noticed, and appreciated that on the midnight hour when they could have stopped, they kept playing well past the allotted time.
The arrangements (by your drummer I believe you mentioned) were the foundation for every piece performed, moving from style-to-style effortlessly. You mentioned that each separately did sessions, etc. and if interested, I'd be happy to put them forward to our production company who work with a roster of composers/arrangers/MDs. Thank you again Martyn, and wishing you continued success.

"We wanted a live band at our wedding and we spent a lot of time researching bands. We found Get Funked online and they looked perfect.
The music was exactly as we wanted. The closer it got to our wedding the more excited we became and we were hoping the band lived up to our expectations.
Well they were better by far than anything we expected. Even the stage setup and lighting were impressive, let alone the band.
They were simply incredible and did a superb job of getting everyone on to the dance floor. The music was brilliant and they tailored it to our specific soul / funk choices. They even performed our first song dance which was amazing. All in all they were the highlight of the day.
Our only regret was not booking them for longer! Everyone commented on how incredible they were and the main topic of conversation at breakfast the following day was simply about how good the band was! Suffice to say we would happily recommend and book Get Funked again. Amazing."

"TO ALL THE TALENTED MEMBERS OF GET FUNKED.
I felt I had to put pen to paper or rather hand to keyboard and thank you all for putting on such a fantastic show for my Charlotte and Joe's wedding at Wentworth on the 6th July.
You guy's certainly know how to work an audience, and the atmosphere you created in the Ballroom that evening was beyond amazing.
Your girls were up there with 'Martha and the Vandells' in their prime and the boys’ vocals and range were second to none.
As for all you band members at the back (the ones who did all the real work :-) ) the brass, percussion and strings combined so well nobody could or wanted to stop dancing - I’m sure, for not a large number of people, you must have noticed. Every phone call, message and letter I have had (and there have been many) has said 'what an unbelievable band, where did you find them, it was one of the most memorable parts of their day etc etc'.
It’s now 3 weeks on and everyone who was there is still talking about you all!!! I'm sure in 3 years they still be talking about you. I truly hope that, although it was another day at the office for you all, you enjoyed the evening as much as everybody else did - we are desperately racking our brains to create an occasion thats special enough to warrant having the band again. WE WILL COME UP WITH SOMETHING!!!

They were a really nice group of people too as I have experienced some bands before who are real divas and don’t make it easy for the event organiser, but your guys were a breeze to deal with and very self-sufficient.
