Based near Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, Glenda Clwyd is a world- class harpist with over 25 years' experience as a professional performer.
Glenda is the winner of the Award for the Best Wedding Entertainment in Wales at The Welsh National Wedding Awards 2011.Her natural talent and flare has enabled her to perform across the globe at prestigious events and venues.
Most recently she was invited to perform as a soloist aboard The World; a luxurious ship, privately owned by the world's richest people.
Glenda is in high demand for her performances as a soloist for concerts and private recitals.
Her versatile repertoire is also sought after to enhance corporate and charity events as well as weddings and special occasions.

Born in Bagillt, North Wales, Glenda has been playing the harp since the age of ten.
Her early achievements include successes at the Urdd and National Eisteddfod during her teens.
These early years were dotted with concerts, orchestral work, performance for royalty and at the Royal Albert Hall in London and membership of a popular welsh band who appeared live with the likes of Max Boyce and on tv and radio. Glenda also composed a number of their songs.
She went on to study harp and performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with Ann Griffiths and during this time she received the prestigious Pernod award in recognition of her work as an ambassador of the harp. She played the harp regularly for tourists from around the world who visited the Capital. Also travelling to Stuttgart, Germany for the twining ceremony with Cardiff.
Glenda greeted HRH the Queen Mother with her harp playing at the official opening of St. David?s Hall, Cardiff.
In her early twenties she released her first album ?Romanza?. During this time she worked extensively abroad and at home for the Wales Tourist Board and the British Tourist Authority promoting Wales with visits to Europe and the USA as well as throughout the UK.
She then spent twelve months in the Middle East working as an entertainer in 5* hotels and then travelled world wide as a concert soloist on a luxury cruise ship.
On her return to the UK she embarked on a career as a TV presenter for the Welsh Channel 4 and famously became the First welsh speaking weather girl in the early nineties.
Throughout her career as a professional harpist she has performed for royalty, appeared on tv and radio, played at most major UK concert venues alongside choirs and soloists, performed in touring shows and played in orchestras.
In 2006, following further study with eminent harpist Caryl Thomas, her next album of classical harp music Hafan was released and played nationally with tv and radio appearances.
2007 saw her invited to teach harp on a course for budding harpists from around Wales at the Royal Welsh College of Music of Drama. She then combined her busy performing schedule with working on the committee of the European Harp Symposium which visited Wales for the first time.
Her duties included PR and liasing with the media as well as performing, organising photo shoots and presenting concerts and workshops and appearing on stage at the Wales Millennium Centre in the opening Gala Concert.
In 2008 Glenda continued touring Wales presenting workshops, concerts and promoting her love of ?Wales and traditional Welsh music in schools, nursing homes, at folk clubs and for organisations.
She organised and lead Harp Days at the Wales Millennium Centre for harpists of all ages and abilities as well as performing on stage and introducing her new harp ensemble Seventh Heaven to the Tesco stage.
2009 saw her launch her latest CD to date, O?r Galon/ ?From the Heart, which is a collection of her most cherished arrangements and improvisations of Welsh folk music, in time for St David?s Day celebrations.
She has also published a collection of Wedding Music for the Harp and a book of her own harp compositions as well as continuing her concert, teaching and workshop schedule.
Glenda performs Classical, Welsh and contemporary music to the highest standard.
She also takes requests and as a composer and arranger can create a bespoke package of music to make your wedding and event truly memorable.
