Multi award winning belly dancer (winner of Bellydance Trophies UK 2011-12, 3rd place at Bellydancer of the World-Fantasy/Fusion in Germany) Mayel’s childhood was rhythmed by dance. She started her stage experience at the age of 4 being part in the musical for children “Maxi’Mômes”. She did this for 10 years while training as a rhythmic gymnast. Always willing to discover different forms and styles of dance she learnt modern Jazz, street dance and Salsa as a teenager. She discovered Middle Eastern dance in 2004 in Arras, France and fell in love with it.

Maelle moved to London in 2007, where she trains with the best teachers in the country and keeps expanding her repertoire with new forms of dance and skills such as fire and stunning props (Poi, fanveils, Isis wings, sword...) She has also been part of the well-known Johara Dance Company since 2009, and is a soloist in Ozgen’s new show “Ask”- a very dramatic and theatrical show: “Dark passion, jealousy, romance and sadness of two different love stories.

Maelle is also working with the award winning Artists collaboration project "Ahnemon". Each dancer comes from different backgrounds and styles and the company aims to combine traditional, alternative and experimental characteristics to create a sensory phenomenon unlike any other.

She performs many folkloric and Fantasy styles of belly dance from Egyptian to Turkish. She also works with stunning props such as Isis Wings, Poi, Sword, sagattes and Veils to create entertaining & dramatic performance show pieces!

Maelle has performed at weddings, hen parties, corporate parties, Christmas parties, Awards ceremonies, Festivals, clubs, restaurants, promotional & charity events all over UK and Europe.

She is a resident dancer in central London middle Eastern, mediterranean restaurants.

She has performed/ toured with dance companies in UK, Europe and Australia.
