OPA! are a fiery bunch of young musicians who use the roots of the Serbian dance 'Kolo' and the gypsy cocek to create their own passionate brand of Balkan music. With repertoire from Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and the Romani Culture alongside a growing anthology of original songs, OPA! have played all over the UK supporting top bands such as KAL and the Turbans, and worked alongside producers Gypsy Hill. Boasting a fine 12-piece big band, the traditional brass section is coupled with clarinets, sax, electric guitars, darabouka and drum set to create the band’s mesmerizing modern sound. OPA! has that rare ‘wild beat,’ and they are bound to show you how to party!
