Steve Doolan is one of the best and most versatile Jazz/Swing Vocalists to come out of South-Wales in recent years. For the past 5 years, he has been providing a ” Jazz/Swing Vocal Tribute “, which incorporates a varied selection of the fantastic timeless songs from the Great American Songbook….Sinatra, Bennett, Elling, Buble, Beatles, Anka, Stevie, Legend, Porter, Jackson..etc.

Whether it’s a beautiful haunting ballad with just a tinkling piano in the background, or perhaps a full up-tempo big band Swinging/Jazz Standard, then Steve Doolan will deliver it in his own cool, immicable, witty, laid back style with his silky smooth rich Baritone chocolate voice.

Steve performs regularly at various local venues and private bookings either as a solo artist or with his band “The Steve Doolan Quartet”. He also sings as a front man with a 17 piece swinging big band called The Liberty Big Band from South Wales performing classic big band tunes by Basie, Miller, Goodman, Riddle, Ellington etc.

He has performed at the 5 star resort, THE CELTIC MANOR HOTEL, also the Swalec Stadium for the Royal Marines 350th Anniversary….Also performing at various Jazz Festivals in Wales, including Brecon, Llandeilo, Swansea and Usk….he has appeared with the JEFF HOOPER Swing Easy Big Band, the GREAT sax player ALAN BARNES….plus the FANTASTIC pianist’s PAUL SAWTELL and CRAIG MILVERTON amongst others….

Steve has recently finished recording his first CD with the QUEEN of British Jazz, CLAIRE MARTIN OBE and her WORLD CLASS TRIO of musicians ….Gareth Williams, Laurence Cottle and Matt Skelton….
