The Charleston Chumps play popular hits from the roaring 1920s and 1930s. Enjoy this visit to an era of wonderful nonsense, quirky original music and cheerful entertainment. Let's misbehave!
Kidnapped by aliens from the Savoy ballroom in 1929, the Charleston Chumps reappeared on the streets of Manchester in 2007 having aged not one jot, still playing their infectious and quirky 1920's hits.
Love us or laugh at us, you'll have to dance to us! Our affectionate 1920's pastiche delights and delects its way through an era of prohibition and speakeasies.

... it was an absolutely wonderful wedding, made even more special by the superb music. You guys are really something special, and it was a genuine pleasure to be able to listen to you!
Not since the glory days of the ‘Frothy, bubbly cabaret’ called ‘Summer Time Frolics’, when the Café de Paris opened its doors to the starlets and party goers of the world; has a London nightclub seen anything to compare with you sensational chaps. Thank you for accompanying me on my special journey back to 1932; for helping us raise funds for a very good cause; and bringing such warmth to so many hearts.
I just wanted to thank you and your band for your excellent performance at the ICMIF reception last month. The client was absolutely thrilled, she said “The Charleston Charlies were such good fun!”
I look forward to the opportunity of working with you again.

Peter and I would like to say a huge 'Thank you' to you and the other members of the Charleston Chumps for providing some fabulous entertainment at our wedding on Tuesday. We were thrilled with the quality of the music, and also the flexibility you showed throughout the evening to fit in with us running late, our friends providing an impromptu performance for us, and also working with the Charleston dancers.
We thoroughly enjoyed your performance and would most definitely hire you again! Our guests were also highly impressed with you and several asked for your details, so you never know, there may be future gigs for you!
Wedding, Somerset,
I just wanted to say that the band was fantastic on Friday night for my big birthday. They absolutely made the evening.
I didn't get chance to say goodbye because I was probably mingling and chatting so please let them know how fantastic they were and hopefully more business will come their way as a result of the evening.
Birthday Party Inglewood Manor, Cheshire.
Hi Simon, not got back to earth yet. Thank you for an amazing day of music.
Wedding at Poundon House, Bicester.
Hi to all the wonderful guys who played at my Mum and Dads party last night. Just want to say a huge thankyou that you helped to make their evening so special with your music. Thank you too for being such very lovely people!! We hope to have you back for our next party.

I am so glad that the [Sinatra Affair] played at our wedding reception. We chose them for the range of music in their songlists, but hadn't expected the band to be quite so versatile. Over at least 4 decades of music, they seemed to know exactly what to play to put a smile on every face, which is always a worry at weddings where the age group is so wide, but from the ages of 11 to 97 everyone loved the dancing! We would all wholeheartedly recommend them.
Wedding at Crewe Hall, Cheshire,
Fantastic swing band, got all the generations up dancing at our wedding, great music, lovely people and really talented. Enjoyed the band and would definitely recommend them! Thank you!

Simon, what can I say…What a fantastic job you did on Saturday! You were amazing. I don't know if many of the guests spoke to you, but SO many people commented to me on how great you sounded, and how your choice of music was perfect.
You created a fantastic atmosphere, and it was great to see so many people dancing! Thank you so much for making it such a great party.
